DR-Z400 Axle Sliders: Package Contents and Installation

The EDGECO Axle Sliders for Suzuki DR-Z400 / S / E / SM are supplied as pre-assembled axle configurations. They are designed for the earlier models with original axles, not for the new DR-Z4S or DR-Z4SM.

What does each variant include?

• Front axle set: one M8 threaded rod and two sliders.
• Rear axle set: one M10 threaded rod and two sliders.
• Front + rear set: both configurations, two threaded rods and four sliders in total.

Quantity “1” means one unit of the selected variant. So, with the “Front axle set,” you receive one front axle set with two sliders, not just a single slider. The component fitted onto the nut is secured with Loctite in each case.

Preparation and installation check

Before installation, check that your motorcycle has the compatible original axles. Make sure the pre-assembled configurations are assigned correctly: M8 at the front, M10 at the rear. Installation on the compatible original axles requires no tools; drilling out the axle is not necessary.

After installation, check that everything is secure and that both wheels spin freely. If your axles have been modified or fitment is unclear, contact us before installation. This overview does not replace an individual assessment if you have non-standard accessories.

After a tip-over or slide

Check the entire system for damage. Replacement caps are available for existing EDGECO DR-Z400 Axle Sliders: two for the front, two for the rear, or a set of four caps. They do not replace damaged threaded rods or other damaged components. If in doubt, contact us to check the system before using it again.
